A Painting based on the orchestral song 'Vision' by Austrian composer Egon Wellesz. The piece contains stretches of instrumental music, vocalises (wordless singing) and a setting of Georg Trakl's poem 'Im Park' ('In the Park'):
Walking again in the old park,
O! Silent red and yellow blooms.
You mourn too, you gentle gods,
With the autumnal gold of the elm.
Looming from the bluish pond
The reeds; the thrush silenced by evening.
O! bow you then your own head
Before the decayed ancestral marble.
(Wieder wandelnd im alten Park,
O! Stille gelb und roter Blumen.
Ihr auch trauert, ihr sanften Götter,
Und das herbstliche Gold der Ulme.
Reglos ragt am bläulichen Weiher
Das Rohr, verstummt am Abend die Drossel.
O! dann neige auch du die Stirne
Vor der Ahnen verfallenem Marmor.)
